dwarven Paladin

I chose to make a dwarven paladin and for whatever reason decided to go 2 handed weapon style as I have always wanted to try it out. Long story short I am currently specced 12 2 handed, 11 chants 8 slash 7 parry and when i wield a 2 handed weapon it tells me that i do not have a 2 handed weapon equipped when I try to use 2 handed styles.

I figured out that the starting weapon vendor gave me a midgard 2 hander when i went to camelot i got a albion 2 hander and now everything works fine. However I built a highlander paladin, and for whatever reason it does not give highlander paladins the ability to parry. Now I am all for us scots being tough (its called a kilt for what happened to the last person who called it a skirt!!! they got kilt!) but i think something is buggy there.\
